"I called Mr. Magee on his cell phone thinking
that I was probably intruding on his Saturday
evening to see if he could come back to my
house. But he dutifully came back and worked for
2 hours fixing the problem. He did not once
complain, he did not make it seem like it was
any big deal, and he went about his business in
a very professional manner. "

I had a pipe in a downstairs wall leaking
water from an upstairs shower out onto the
floor. I called Fix-All Plumbing, and they were
very helpful discussing the problem over the
phone. John came the next day, located the
source of the problem, and fixed it within a few
hours. He was also very helpful in describing
the issue and the various pipes and construction
in the problem area. Thank you for the
professional and courteous service!

I had a stopped up sink right before dinner
at 6pm on a Thursday. John was extremely
friendly and professional and came right over
even though it was the end of his day. John is
not your average plumber, he's smart, courteous,
and fast. He unclogged my sink in 15 minutes and
was on his way. I'm a very satisfied customer.

I called FixAll on a Friday for what I
thought was a needed snake out for my shower
drain and the receptionist for FixAll said it
would be about $65.00. John Magee came out about
a couple hours after I called he adjusted the
trip lever and my shower was fixed. I was only
charged $45.00! I could not believe it! I
certainly could of been ripped off, for I know
nothing about plumbing and I was expecting to
pay $65.00, But I got such an honest guy who did
not over charge me. It is so rare to find a
business that is fast, and honest. I will
certainly refer him to anyone I know who needs a
plumber and of course use him for all my future
plumbing needs!!! Thank you John!!

I had a problem with recurring blockage from
the main line of the house which certain
portions had negative pitch. I called many
plumbers. Most of them did not return my call. I
obtained several estimates and although Fix all
was not the lowest estimate, I found Fix All
Plumbing to be very professional. Each time I
called, I was allowed to speak directly with the
plumber John immediately if I wanted to. I hired
him to replace approximately 20 ' of main line
pipe and to create as much pitch as possible.
The work was complicated by the fact that the
house sits on a reverse slope (i.e. the house
slopes down from the street) and several inches
of footing had to be drilled away in order to
lift the pipe to create the necessary pitch. He
performed the work in one day and was very
attentive to my questions and concerns. After
installing the new ABS piping, he ran the camera
line all the way to the sewer and gave me
detailed information about the location of my
main line. He also strapped some of the arterial
pipes underneath the house in order to increase
the flow into the main line. He made what had
been a big headache manageable.
Question: There are four people in our house, two adults and two teens. We are constantly running out of hot water. After a five-minute shower, the water starts to turn cold. This change occurred quite recently. Help!
Answer: There are two possibilities. First, the dip tube has broken off. This is a tube that forces incoming water to the bottom of the tank so that hot water will be drawn off of the top. When the dip tube breaks, cold water entering the tank mixes with the hot water and cools it down. This can occur in both gas and electric models.
Second, if your water heater is electric, the lower element that heats the water may not be operating properly, thus only the upper half of the tank will heat up. The cause of this problem could be a bad element or a thermostat malfunction. This type of problem should be evaluated by a qualified technician.
